Maintaining great design
Balancing the client’s design requests as well as durability and maintenance issues is one of the constant challenges in custom aircraft interior design. The cabin has to do more than just look good. It has to work very well over the long haul. For this project, the client wanted a very light-colored interior.

We proposed a color treatment that featured light colors in low traffic areas and on bulkheads while using slightly darker colors in high-wear areas such as carpets and upholstery. The result was a design that is light enough to suit the client while being dark enough to remain clean despite heavy use.

In this case, the client also wanted more flexibility out of the galley. We redesigned the unit to include a flexible cold storage unit that allowed a greater variety of foods and storage containers to be used.
