Challenger
Designing for usability
During the interior design of this Challenger, our client asked
us to solve a niggling problem that had been plaguing them with
their other aircraft. At the beginning of every flight the flight
crew wanted to be able to greet passengers as they entered the cabin
and the typical configuration of the Challenger meant they found
themselves blocking the aisle.
To respond to this need, we designed a special
curved custom galley that could accommodate the ergonomic specifications
of a crewmember without blocking the aisle.
We also extensively re-worked the back of the
cabin by designing an angled bulkhead with a corridor leading to
the baggage compartment and lavatory to enhance the sense of space
within the cabin.
